Now more than ever, we need to stand up and speak out in the name of those we have lost to preventable overdose deaths; and with loved ones who are still with us. Due to COVID-19, overdose deaths in NJ have increased 20% this year in just the first few months of 2020 compared to last year. We are also facing a state budget crisis that has led to devastating funding cuts across many priorities, including overdose prevention and treatment funding.
That’s why we’ve launched this Not One More NJ virtual story wall. To help us remember and fight in the name of the people we love whose lives have been lost to the overdose crisis – and to uplift the stories of those who are still impacted by substance use disorder.
